How to Register

The Patrick contractor safety management process is completed in two parts: business registration, and worker registration, including induction bookings.

We suggest you read through the instructions and give yourself time to source the information needed to work for Patrick.

A nominated administrator will complete this process for your business and each worker.

User guides with screenshots can be found on the Help and Resources page.

Step 1 > Register a username and password

The Patrick Contractor Management System can be found by clicking the button below.

Start by entering a username of your choosing, plus your email address and a password. You’ll receive an email confirmation.

Step 2 > Register business details and answer profile questions

Using your new details, login to the Patrick Contractor Management System.

Follow the process to register your business by answering profile questions and selecting the insurances and licences you can supply to support your registration.

Step 3 > Pay for registration

Business registration costs $150 + GST annually for verification, support, and ongoing compliance.

Step 4 > Upload documents for verification

You will be prompted to upload copies of the licences and insurances you selected in step 2 for verification:

    • Valid ABN matching company name
    • Public & Product Liability Insurance
    • Workers Compensation Insurance
    • Professional Indemnity Insurance
    • Occupational Licenses (eg Electrical, Plumbing etc)

You will be emailed when your documents are verified or if any corrections are required to finalise your company registration.

To complete your registration, you will next be invited to register your workers. Please click to expand Stage 2.

Step 1 > Login and add workers

On business registration approval (stage 1), Pegasus will email you login details to register your workers.

Using these emailed details, login and add your workers – you’ll start by selecting Manage Roles and then Add New Worker. From here you can enter and save their personal contact details, address, phone and email.

Step 2 > Pay for worker registration and Patrick Contractor card

Pay for your worker’s registration and order their Patrick Contractor cards to work for Patrick.

      • Worker registration costs $85 + GST per person for the first year for the management of roles, verification of documents, and supply of card.
      • Annual renewal costs $50 + GST per person.
      • Card reprint costs $20 + GST per person.

A tax invoice will be supplied upon receiving payment.

Step 3 > Add roles, upload documents and book training

You will next select your worker’s name to Add New Role and choose their Patrick work role/s. You must select a minimum of two roles – a site role and task role.

Your selections will determine the competency documents which need to be uploaded in the system to prove your worker can complete the chosen role/s. Documents may include but are not limited to:

      • Photograph
      • Proof of Identity
      • High Risk Licenses
      • Trade or Tertiary Qualifications
      • Certificates or Statements of Attainment

At this time, you will also book your worker’s online and classroom safety inductions. They will be emailed details about how and where to complete each before attending site.

Pegasus will validate the documents you upload during registration. You will be emailed to update any required information.

The requirements which must be met for your worker to reach compliance and receive their access ID card:

  1. A minimum of two roles selected – site role and task role/s
  2. Induction be completed
  3. All documents be uploaded and verified
  4. Subscription payment made

NB: Rail workers only need one role selected

Additional benefits of registering your workforce

Many contractors use Pegasus systems to help manage their own worker competencies, licences, and qualifications. Automated reminders are sent to both the worker and contracting company to let them know they have a licence, competency, or qualification nearing overdue status.

Ongoing system access

Once you have completed both stages to register, the system can be accessed by creating a Pegasus Gateway account, and adding the Patrick tile. This allows you to access both parts of the Patrick Contractor Management System from one place with one login. Click the Pegasus Gateway button at the top of the page to register a new Gateway account.
